The Hartlepool City Learning Centre recently contacted us about some problems they were having with their music production studio. They also requested if we could move all of the existing rack equipment to a new location.
Hartlepool City Learning centre (CLC) is a government funded high technology educational resource centre tasked with raising the profile of new and inspiring computer tools that can be used by educators to enhance their teaching and learners to raise attainment and achievement of all learners. One of 105 CLCs in the country, Hartlepool specialises in general resources, classroom portable resources and performing arts.
The original rack wiring was a bit of a rats nest, as you can see from the picture above. We were moving everything anyway so it would be rewired from scratch. Microsoft Office Visio is a handy program for logging equipment details and creating wiring diagrams. We also used it to plan the new rack layout with Chris Miller form Hartlepool CLC, before moving any of the equipment to the new location.
The Control Room all working correctly after a couple of days work by TSM.
